As an Auburn guy, watching Diego Pavia crush our spirits last year in week 12 was brutal (and embarrassing), but he's a BALLER, and he's turned me into a fan. The 2023 Conference USA POY led the Commodores to a huge week 1 win against a potential ACC Championship contender in Virginia Tech, and he showed total command and composition from start to finish.

Diego was 12-16 passing with 190 yards, and he added 104 yards rushing on 26 carries, accounting for 294 total yards and 3 touchdowns. He made good decisions on Vandy's read zone stuff and RPO game all day, and he capped off the performance with a 4 yard touchdown in overtime, opting to keep it on Split Read Zone slice.
